Quiet Success

How do we achieve success quietly? The answer isn’t literal, though I think there is something to be said for keeping a tight lip on your ideas and motives. Broadcasting your path to all that will listen gives them an unfair advantage over you. Doubly so if they happen to have the same dreams and aspirations. When your ideas are out in the world they can be easily attacked, replicated, or even worse, stolen.   All too often success is portrayed as loud and fast in films and on television. We’re constantly shown “stars” who have stumbled into fame, selling their looks or peddling their influence, forgetting that both will fade in time. This lifestyle, like so many things in our modern world, is a product meant to be thrown away and cheaply replaced over and over again. Often without thought of the personal expense.    Aspire for real success, one that lasts.
